"The depth of their energy... How they feel to me..." Zelimir sighed, a small frown etched on his lips. He was not used to dwelling on his own feelings, so the thought of focusing on the feeling of elements sounded like a challenge to him: and not the fun kind.

As soon as Chrono had explained his assignment, the djinn knew that it was going to require a lot of concentration. In a fluid motion that only comes with practice, Zelimir settled himself on the ground, legs crossed and eyes closed. With a snap of his fingers, he conjured a ball of fire in his palm. Considering his love for the element, it seemed like the best place to start.

Already in tune with his natural element, Zelimir was already aware of the essence of fire. The element was wild with a mind of its own, making it difficult to contain. Years spent playing with fire, and classes taken on mastering elemental control, meant that firemancy was as simple as breathing for him. The flames licked his fingers, causing Zelimir to softly smile at the familiar warmth.

While Zelimir could have spent the entire day focused entirely on fire, he knew that he had to move onto another element; he didn't want to spend longer than he had to on the assignment.

Zelimir focused on a second element, and a small ball of energy formed in his opposite hand, hovering inches from his palm. Energy, or electricity (the form that it took for him), while the newest he had learned, quickly placed itself as number two of Zelimir's favourite elements. The raw energy and excitement that resonated from electricity reminded him of fire's intensity. This element, however, did not share fire's innate desire to consume, as was content to remain where it was, sparks dancing in the air.

Two elements remained: water and wind. Even though it's been awhile since Zelimir learned watermancy and windmancy, lack of practice made it more difficult to focus on the feelings of the elements. He decided to start by calling the aforementioned elements into existence. Having never conjured so many different elements at once, it took him quite some time to accomplish. It took even longer determine wind and water's nature.

Zelimir's mind drifted to when he made a contract with the wind when he focused on the small cyclone beside him. The smile he previous wore was quickly replaced with a frown; it was not a fond memory for the djinn. Wind could easily be defined as a free-spirited trickster, looking to have a little fun even at the expense of those around him. It loved to invoke reactions where it could, and was overall a very joyful element.

Wind, on the other hand, was very calm and peaceful, remaining tranquil unless provoked. Zelimir swallowed his fear as he imagined a large body of water, the surface still while hiding whatever lurks in the depths below. The more he thought about it, the more complex water seemed. While generally peaceful, water could change into something fierce at a moment's notice. After much debate, the djinn decided that the most fitting word for the element was 'temperamental'.

This assignment made me realize just how many elements Zel has learned. ^^
The two elements that I had him holding are his favourite two: fire, to no one's surprise because it's the one he has a natural affinity for, and energy/electricity. Despite it being his newest element, I can see it easily taking the spot as his second favourite considering how similar it is to fire.
And with how much practice he's had, I could see him settling down to meditate for this assignment, with no complaints. It was really weird for me to draw him looking so calm though...
