CE: Big Brother!!

- "Big brother, the plates kind of slipped out of my hands...."

- "I didn't make this mess! It was, uh..."

- "Atqa, we found Uru stealing fruit in the Gardens again..."
"Hey - it's not my fault I got lost! The Garden's so biiiigggg, and I was getting hungry!!"

Atqa could never let his little brother out of his sight - chaos and trouble followed that boy around like a magnet. Broken plates, annoyed idols, and dealing with enraged supervisors had become a daily routine in this god's life ever since Uru had been old enough to walk. Needless to say, free time was not something that this male had had in a long time. He was always fixing up his little brothers mistakes and scolding him, hoping that he would change. Alas, Uru never really took these lectures seriously.

Each and every day brought new surprises and more trouble was found. Atqa constantly questioned if raising a child was worth this heartache. Right at these moments, something would happen that would remind him just how lucky he was.

-- "Brother~!" Little Uru raced towards the older male, a wide grin on his lips. "I finally found you!!" The little boy raced as fast as his little legs could carry him, and a ghost of a smile appeared on the older male's lips at the sight.

"Careful!" The last thing he wanted was for the boy to trip and fall.

"You wanted to see me??" The little boy looked up at Atqa, praying that he wasn't going to be scolded for dropping an egg on one of the idol's heads earlier. "If it was about this morning, that wasn't me!!"

The older male chuckled at Uru's attempt to feign innocent, and decided to not ruin the moment to ask exactly what had happened - he'll found out soon enough anyway. "I actually have a present for you..." The boy's green eyes lit up at the word 'present'. A glint of gold caught his eye as Atqa presented to gift. It was a bangle of bells.

"You always get lost in the Gardens, so if you wear this, someone will be able to easily find y-" His explanation was cut short as a pair of arms wrapped themselves around him, surprise evident on his face.

"This is so cool! You're the best big brother ever!!" --

And, with a smile, he would think, "Yes, this was definitely worth it."

Anyway, this is a contest entry for ~chenpath's contest. Both of the characters are from her original story Blessing which sounds amazing!

I had two ideas for a picture, but I went with the two brothers together since there were already a few entries with Atqa and Yashimin (they are so cute together!! >3<) None the less, I had loads of fun drawing these two! <33 Uru is such a cutie, no matter how old he is~ xD (He's around 5-6 in this picture). I imagine him as a little trouble maker when he's this old.

The background, I have to admit, is....interesting. I wanted to add a background to this picture, but no matter what I did, something always seemed off. So I leave you with this _terrible unprofessional wallpaper!
